Teos käsittelee tutkimuksen tekemiseen liittyvää tiedon ja datan taltioimista ja tutkimustuoksiin liittyvää päätöksentekoa ja visuaalisointiin liittyviä valintoja. Asetin itselleni kuvausmetodin tarkoituksenani kuvata vuorokauden joka tunnin 10 ensimmäistä sekunttia, tämän jälkeen merkitsin kuvaan liitetyin värikoodein kuvassa tapahtuvaa toimintaa. Kuvan keskiössä on Helsingissä sijaitseva Väinö Tannerin patsas.
The video is about data visualization and decision-making involved in research process. I set myself a method of working: by capturing 10 seconds of video at the beginning of each hour of a day (24hours) and then marking the image with color-code according to the movement of the people. Thru a very simple method I wanted to highlight how many different aspects may be involved in making a research or gathering information and data about a subject. And how the way that the results are presented is integral part of the way we understand, construct or trust information. The name refers to a statue on Helsinki at Kallio district that can be seen on the middle of the image. The piece was made in a collaborative workshop produced by m-Cult organization as a part of Media Facades-festival.
